As a Senior Procurement Manager - Indirect Category Spend (generalist category manager) - FMCG, you will:

  • Provide end to end procurement solutions to key stakeholders, advising on sourcing, contracts and supplier management.
  • Develop and implement category and sourcing plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Drive cost reduction and value creation through negotiation, market intelligence, and supplier partnerships.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and manage all aspects of spend throughout the lifecycle.
  • Utilise ERP systems and analytical tools to support category planning and reporting.
  • Apply advanced procurement techniques (e-auctions, TCO analysis, should-cost modelling).
  • Build strong supplier relationships to foster innovation and performance improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical, technical, and sustainability standards (e.g., SEDEX, BRC).
  • Manage contracts professionally and accurately, maintaining cost conditions and governance.
  • Support risk mitigation and working capital reduction across allocated categories.
