Job Description:
- Cross-department collaboration inclusive of attending and speaking in business meetings, presenting in front of colleagues and knowledge sharing.
- Monthly / Quarterly / Annual reporting preparation & consolidation.
- Project work involving creating, leading or supporting projects.
- Performing management accounting duties with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Monthly management accounts including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Posting key journal entries.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Identify areas of improvement and implement robust processes.
- Support with financial internal & external auditors.
- Assist with year-end statutory accounts.
- Develop and maintain robust processes and controls in line with Group requirements.
- Ensure consistent documentation of tasks and activities according to internal policies.
The Successful Applicant:
- Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proven experience in management accounting within the retail industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
