Job Description:
- Overseeing all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analysis.
- Managing month-end processes to ensure everything's on time, accurate, and audit-ready.
- Delivering reliable financial statements aligned with UK accounting standards.
- Maintaining rolling cash flow forecasts and tracking working capital.
- Collaborating closely with operational leads to monitor costs and drive profitability.
- Reporting directly to the Financial Controller.
- Managing all statutory and tax obligations - Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE, and filings.
- Acting as the main contact for external advisors and accountants.
- Strengthening financial controls and helping to shape internal policies.
- Providing strategic insights and financial recommendations to senior leadership.
- Implementing and managing ERP systems as part of wider operational improvements.
- Leading and mentoring a small finance team, and overseeing Payroll, VAT, and Management Accounts.
- Handling commercial insurances and supporting other business-critical activities.
The Successful Applicant:
- Strong experience in SME finance leadership.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proven ability to manage the finance function independently.
- Proficiency in financial systems and ERP software.
- Commercially minded, proactive, and confident communicator.
