Our client is a growing, well-established manufacturing and engineering company based in Wrexham.

Job Description

Working closely with all other business functions, you will be responsible for leading the transformation in our quality systems and championing quality within our business.

  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the group quality and CI business management systems.
  • Responsible for planning and ensuring the execution of all preventative quality measures.
  • Responsible for planning and delivering quality training throughout the group.
  • Ensure that all quality tools are fit for purpose, robust, and efficient.
  • Lead the recruitment and development of the Quality team.
  • Ensure the group is compliant with all necessary quality standards.
  • Provide support to resolve reactive quality issues permanently.
  • Ensure that the cost of quality and the cost of poor quality are captured and optimized.
  • Implement effective KPIs across the business to measure quality alongside other functions.
  • Support new development projects to ensure quality targets are achieved.
  • Collaborate with all functions to identify and address any quality risks and implement corrective measures.

The Successful Applicant

  • Significant experience in quality management within the industrial manufacturing and engineering sector, preferred.
  • Backgrounds of interest include mechanical engineering, metalwork (fabrication, welding, assembly, or precision machined components).
  • Ability to inspire others about the importance and benefits of quality.
  • Proven implementation of significant improvements to systems and workflows.
  • Effective influencing and collaborative skills within an organization.
  • Ability to develop people within and outside the quality team.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills to ensure activities align with overall goals.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to utilize data effectively.
  • Deep understanding of all aspects of quality management tools and processes.
  • Experience in implementing continuous improvement methodologies.
