Job Description
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment to ensure optimum performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults effectively.
- Implement planned preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Provide support during equipment installations and upgrades.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimise disruptions.
This is a shift based role; 4 on 4 off, 4 on 3 off, 3 on 4 off, repeat.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Multi-Skilled Engineer should have:
- Proven expertise in both mechanical and electrical engineering within manufacturing, ideally high volume, low value environments.
- The ability to 'hit the ground running' in a dynamic and super fast pace FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in engineering or manufacturing.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices in an engineering environment.
- Experience with maintaining and repairing a range of equipment and machinery.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues effectively.
- Can work on a rotating 12 Hour Day Shift schedule (4 on 4 off, 4 on 3 off, 3 on 4 off, repeat).
