Job Description
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Ownership of sales ledger and credit control processes
- Raising and processing customer invoices and monitoring debtor balances
- Purchase ledger oversight including accruals and prepayments
- Completion of regular bank reconciliations
- Processing payroll and liaising with external providers where required
- Supporting cash flow monitoring and reporting
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audit requirements
- Supporting continuous improvement of finance processes and systems
The Successful Applicant
- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or Bookkeeper role
- Comfortable producing or supporting monthly management accounts
- Strong working knowledge of bank reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
- Payroll experience is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
- Confident communicator, able to work with operational and finance stakeholders
- Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting systems
