About Our Client
An organisation within the insurance industry, based in London (limited office requirement but candidate must be able to commute to London)
Job Description
- Design and build a scalable Excel-based sub-consolidation framework.
- Develop models capable of processing 200+ trial balances across multiple business units and reporting views.
- Create reporting outputs covering Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
- Implement a structured adjustment layer for consolidation journals, eliminations and reclassifications.
- Build controls and reconciliation processes to ensure outputs align with the main group consolidation.
- Support the creation of multiple reporting scenarios and future expansion of the model architecture.
- Produce clear documentation and model user guides.
- Work closely with finance stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements are fully met.
- Deliver knowledge transfer and training to internal teams at the conclusion of the assignment.
The Successful Applicant
- Advanced Excel modelling expertise.
- Proven experience developing complex financial models within large, international organisations.
- Experience working with significant volumes of trial balance data.
- Excellent understanding of financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
