Job Description
- Act as a key strategic leader on the board, driving alignment between financial and operational performance to consistently meet targets.
- Influence operational performance by identifying cost-saving opportunities, improving margins and enhancing factory productivity.
- Lead initiatives to reduce inventory levels and improve working capital efficiency without compromising service or quality.
- Support and challenge commercial and operational teams to deliver on growth initiatives, ensuring financial viability and risk management.
- Dive deep into financial and operational data, uncover insights and challenge assumptions to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Ensure robust financial controls, compliance, and reporting standards are maintained.
- Lead a well-qualified finance function ensuring it meets the needs of the business with a continued focus on productivity.
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience of driving performance improvement and influencing senior stakeholders, gained as a Head of Finance or Finance Director.
- Strong communication skills, able to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels from shop floor to boardroom.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interrogate data in detail and translate findings into actionable strategies.
- Strong commercial acumen and a strategic thought process, skilled in understanding the broader business context and able to link financial performance to operational outcomes.
- A collaborative leadership style, being a natural partner to the Managing Director and the wider leadership team with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- A professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Strong systems and data analysis capabilities (e.g. ERP, BI tools).
