About Our Client

Key responsibilities:
- Take ownership of EHS management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, ensuring they are maintained, reviewed, and continuously improved.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Maintenance, Support and Leadership teams to ensure compliance with EHS legislation and internal standards.
- Lead and participate in safety initiatives, including Safety Action Teams and wider culture‑building activities across the site.
- Conduct incident and near‑miss investigations, producing preventative action plans and tracking corrective actions to closure.
- Manage the full site risk assessment process, including COSHH assessments and chemical approval systems.
- Act as the primary contact for specialist contractors delivering EHS compliance services.
- Deliver safety inductions and support the development and delivery of classroom and hands‑on EHS training.
- Carry out LPA audits and internal audits, ensuring findings and actions are completed on time.
- Liaise with external auditors and ensure audit actions are addressed promptly.
- Support ongoing development of the EHS management system, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
- Contribute to risk reduction projects and broader EHS initiatives to improve site safety performance.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate:
- Holds at least 2 years' experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing environment.
- Possesses a NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) and ideally is progressing towards a NEBOSH Diploma.
- Experienced in working with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems.
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
- Analytical, proactive, and able to challenge constructively to drive continuous improvement.
- Computer literate with strong administrative skills and an interest in management systems.
- Demonstrates excellent judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate others.
- Brings a positive, enthusiastic and collaborative approach to EHS culture development.
