About Our Client

Job Description

This Global Engineering Plc is looking for an IFS System Admin & Development Analyst to support the Lead Analyst in the day-to-day technical aspects of the IFS solution. The role will grow over time as you learn the duties and responsibilities, with a long-term possibility of taking over leadership of this area of IFS. You will be part of a global ERP team supporting, designing, and implementing new functionality to meet global market and business requirements, enabling the company to realize benefits from the ERP solution and its processes.

You will ensure that all system administration, database, and technical aspects of the IFS solution are maintained according to global standards and business expectations, support is provided within agreed service levels, and solution improvements are managed to deliver the desired benefits aligned with priorities.

The role involves various IT tasks including SQL solution coding, data analysis, feasibility studies, database and process improvements, report design, and user administration. Collaboration with external auditors, end users, functional leaders, and senior management is essential, requiring the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-IT staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop custom technical solutions to meet business needs within the ERP system.
  • Support the System Admin & Development Lead in daily activities and cover during absences or maintenance weekends.
  • Maintain all reporting and documentation related to the solution.
  • Review developments by other analysts for quality, consistency, integrity, and security.
  • Provide estimates for solution delivery and communicate expected timelines clearly.
  • Enforce standard processes and practices, providing guidance and coaching.
  • Lead meetings with the business to support and discuss improvements where appropriate.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in PL/SQL language
  • Knowledge of Oracle database administration
  • Understanding of general IT systems
  • Logical and methodical problem-solving approach
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
  • Ability to guide business process design and implementation
  • Willingness to travel internationally / Fluency in English
  • Computing degree or equivalent (Desirable)
