To lead and manage the Site Engineering Team. Exciting role with a global FMCG manufacturer.
To manage the Site Engineering Team, ensuring plant and machinery are maintained to the Preventive Maintenance System to minimise risk of equipment downtime. Maintaining internal and external building fabric. Ensure that all equipment, fabric, and building comply with Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations, legislation, company guidelines, customer codes of practice, and accreditation requirements. To trend and analyse downtime/failure, carry out root cause analysis and implement preventive action. Implementation of projects for Continuous Improvement in Plant performance, reducing waste, complaints, labour, downtime, energy usage, and increasing output. Ensure that the Engineering Team have training and development programmes in place and operate within Health and Safety and Food Safety requirements at all times. Ensuring Contractors on site conform with all company policies and follow Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations and company policies. Manage Capital projects.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree/HND in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
- Proven experience in a senior engineering role within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong working knowledge of food safety standards (e.g. BRC, HACCP).
- Demonstrable experience in leading and developing engineering teams.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Budget management and capital project delivery experience.
