About Our Client: West end-based international corporate bank.

Job Description:

  • Client Relationship Management: Assist the Heads of Corporate Banking and Financial Institutions & Trade Finance in developing and maintaining relationships with prospective and current clients, ensuring the achievement of financial and strategic goals. Manage a portfolio of investment-grade Scandinavian corporates, focusing on establishing and nurturing long-term relationships. Serve as the main liaison for clients, understanding their financial needs and delivering tailored banking solutions. Lead client meetings, presentations, and negotiations involving funding, deal structuring, and credit terms. Represent the bank at sector events and networking venues to enhance visibility in Scandinavia. Maintain existing client connections while pursuing new business opportunities across the region. Assist in negotiating and drafting financing agreements in cooperation with senior management.
  • Credit Analysis and Deal Structuring: Draft and submit credit proposals for new Scandinavian corporate facilities, perform KYC due diligence, coordinate with Loans Administration, and complete periodic reviews. Conduct financial analysis and credit assessments for investment-grade clients. Design financing solutions such as structured finance, term loans, and syndicated lending. Prepare detailed credit submissions with financial modeling, risk assessment, and due diligence findings for approval.
  • Market Intelligence and Business Development: Monitor economic, industry, and regulatory developments in Scandinavia to identify new business opportunities.

The Successful Applicant:

  • Strong academic background, with a university degree (minimum UK 2:1).
  • Postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, Chartered Accountant) are highly desirable.
  • 7-8 years of credit analysis experience with Scandinavian clients, including exposure to UK corporate credit, trade finance, and banking or financial institutions.
  • Proven expertise in managing relationships with investment-grade Scandinavian corporates.
  • Strong credit evaluation skills, experience with structured or complex transactions advantageous.
  • Advanced financial analysis skills, including building and interpreting financial models.
  • Knowledge of banking instruments, capital market products, and cross-border credit risk assessment.
  • Awareness of market trends, industry developments, and macroeconomic factors.
