    Job Description

    The Commercial Solicitor will be:

  • Drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts, licences, data processing agreements and technology arrangements
  • Supporting data protection and privacy compliance work, including cross‑border data transfers
  • Advising clients in the FS, health & social care and technology sectors on risk allocation, regulatory interfaces and governance
  • Collaborating with teams across jurisdictions to deliver integrated, commercial legal solutions
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, managing relationships, and contributing to business generation
  • The Successful Applicant

    The Commercial Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor (or equivalent) with 2+ PQE in commercial/technology / data protection work
  • Comfortable advising across sectors (FS, health & social care, tech)
  • Experienced in drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial and data-related contracts
  • Knowledgeable about UK data protection law (GDPR, UK GDPR, DP regimes)
  • Confident working with cross-border issues and interfacing with regulatory considerations
  • Client‑facing, with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Self-motivated, commercially aware, and able to balance multiple matters
