Our client is a well-known FTSE 100 brand, who are looking to build out their IT Internal Audit department following the decision to bring the service in-house from their accountancy partner. With support from senior leadership, there will be opportunity to truly shape how IT audit works within the organisation.
Job Description
- Perform audits of IT systems and processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Assist in the development of the IT annual audit plans and strategy, acting as a key stakeholder in its formulation.
- Work on NIST & cybersecurity reviews for the organisation, with lots of stakeholder management exposure.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of IT controls and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with the technology department to identify areas of risk and implement solutions.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure timely resolution.
- Support the organisation in achieving its IT governance and risk management objectives.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and regulatory changes impacting the industry.
The Successful Applicant
- Professional qualifications in IT auditing or a related field (e.g. CISA, CISSM, CISSP).
- Experience in auditing IT systems and controls within a practice or industry environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and best practices.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
