About Our Client: This role is with a well-established organisation in Wales.
Job Description: Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Business Partner is a key role in the organisation. The role will be responsible for working within the business to provide insightful and relevant financial information and analysis used by the business to challenge decision making. The Finance Business Partner will develop relationships in the business, working to support strategic plans.
- The role holder will manage and deliver the month-end close for the business.
- Prepare financial plans (budgets and quarterly forecasting) and undertake reporting and analysis.
- Work closely with business unit managers to prepare and complete financial plans (budgets and run rates), including organising and leading business planning sessions with the business and coordination of management accountants.
- Provide financial analysis and advice to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
- Collaborate with various departments to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organisational policies.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing clear and actionable financial insights.
- Support the preparation of management accounts and key performance indicators.
- Assist with financial projects and initiatives as required.
- Lead a small team of Management Accountants.
- Conduct detailed investment appraisals, including financial modelling, risk analysis, and ROI evaluation, to support strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with business objectives.
The Successful Applicant: A successful Finance Business Partner should have:
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- High level of stakeholder management skills in large complex organisations.
- People management skills are desirable for this role.
- Experience in preparing and managing budgets.
- Investment appraisal experience is desirable.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
