A unique opportunity has arisen to work for Cambridge Vacuum Engineering (CVE), an innovative and investment-oriented British manufacturing business.
Cambridge Vacuum Engineering (CVE) has more than 50 years' experience manufacturing Electron Beam systems and Vacuum Furnaces from its base in Cambridge, UK. Established in 1959, CVE has become a market leader in several of their specialist applications. 95% of their business is export-focused, and from a UK manufacturing base, they also have a sales and service subsidiary in the US and China. CVE designs, develops, installs, and services worldwide, and all of their systems are bespoke based on their clients' individual needs.
One of their inventions is a groundbreaking welding system called Ebflow, created by CVE following 10 years of R&D with The Welding Institute (TWI) and global development partners, along with five years of research on a large-scale test facility. The Ebflow electron beam welding system is a superior and revolutionary reduced pressure electron beam welding technology, establishing and maintaining a local vacuum only where it is needed. This means that Ebflow can be operated on-site and applied to large structures. The Ebflow technology is the most advanced, high-speed, and cost-effective electron beam welding system built for demanding tasks in various applications and provides out-of-chamber technology for the joining of large structures.
