Job Description
- Manage the end‑to‑end payroll process for approximately 200 employees.
- Produce payslips, process payroll changes and resolve payroll queries.
- Oversee invoicing across local authorities, healthcare bodies, residents and family contributions.
- Maintain financial records, reconciliations and ledger postings within Sage.
- Prepare quarterly management accounts and banking reports.
- Liaise with external accountants and support year‑end processes.
- Manage purchasing and supply requests from operational sites.
- Act as the primary finance contact for managers, employees and external stakeholders.
- Provide financial reporting, administration and support across the wider business.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and efficiencies.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Manager should have:
- Proven end‑to‑end payroll experience, including manual payroll calculations.
- A strong understanding of PAYE and payroll legislation.
- Experience using Sage ERP systems, ideally Sage 250.
- Previous experience in an Accounts Manager, Finance Manager, or transactional role.
- A solid understanding of accounting and finance operations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
