Job Description

  • Managing your own portfolio of personal tax clients, supporting their UK tax compliance obligations
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, explaining reporting requirements and upcoming deadlines
  • Preparing complex UK personal tax returns, analysing information and communicating implications clearly
  • Drafting and supporting advisory work for individuals, including more complex tax matters
  • Liaising with internal teams such as accounts, payroll and business services to gather information
  • Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and supporting them with development
  • Managing and prioritising your own workload to meet tight deadlines
  • Participating in internal tax technical training and ongoing professional development
  • The Successful Applicant
  • At least two years' experience in a personal tax role
  • Experience working with owner-managed businesses is highly desirable
  • ATT and CTA qualified, or willing to study towards CTA with support
  • Strong technical ability with a genuine interest in developing tax knowledge
  • Confident communicator, able to explain complex tax issues clearly and concisely
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously
  • Ambitious, with a clear desire to progress and take on greater responsibility
