Job Description
The Insurance Claims Manager will be:
- Managing the organisation's insurance portfolio across liability, property and travel.
- Handling insurance claims from first report through to settlement via insurers.
- Providing advice to internal stakeholders following incidents or risks.
- Updating internal communications, policies and procedures in line with insurance needs.
- Acting as the main point of contact for insurance-related queries.
- Responding to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests regarding insurance matters.
- Liaising with brokers, insurers and service providers.
- Tracking claims data to support wider risk management.
- Supporting improvements in organisational risk controls.
The Successful Applicant
The Insurance Claims Manager should be:
- Experienced in managing insurance claims across property, liability and travel.
- Skilled in end-to-end claims handling and stakeholder communication.
- Able to give timely, practical insurance advice within a large organisation.
- Familiar with internal policy and procedure review in line with insurance requirements.
- Confident managing FOI requests related to insurance.
- Organised, communicative and proactive in managing relationships with insurers and brokers.
What's on Offer
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (pro‑rata)
Contract: 6 months, with potential to become permanent
Working Pattern: Part‑time - 3 days per week (1 in office, 2 from home)
