We are looking for a proactive and confident Credit Controller to join a growing finance team based in Blackburn. This is a full-time, office-based role, ideal for someone with proven experience in credit control who enjoys building strong relationships while maintaining firm control of outstanding debt.
The key responsibilities of a Credit Controller will include:
- Managing your own ledger and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances
- Chasing overdue invoices via phone and email
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers
- Resolving invoice and payment queries efficiently
- Allocating cash and reconciling customer accounts
- Setting up and reviewing credit limits in line with company policy
- Producing regular debtor reports and supporting month-end processes
The successful Credit Controller will have:
- Previous experience in a Credit Controller or similar role
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Confident handling high-volume or complex ledgers
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
