Job Description
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and in-year financial reporting across core service and housing-related areas.
- Act as a strategic partner to senior leaders, providing challenge, insight, and direction on financial performance.
- Deliver cost-focused financial projects, including efficiency reviews, cost base analysis, and strategic resource allocation.
- Support commercial and financial modelling for tenders, re-tenders, and large social housing contract negotiations.
- Lead on cost centre and P&L performance reviews, ensuring corrective actions are identified, implemented, and tracked.
- Provide financial input into the design and mobilisation of new services, ensuring cost structures are sustainable.
- Promote financial literacy across operational teams, ensuring resources are aligned to strategic and contractual priorities.
The Successful Applicant
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) with 5+ years' post-qualified experience.
- Strong track record in senior business partnering and cost management.
- Must have experience within a large housing association or local government housing department.
- Experience working with or overseeing large social housing contracts is essential.
- Proven experience leading value-for-money, efficiency, or cost-transformation projects.
- Commercially minded, analytically strong, and confident influencing senior stakeholders.
- Collaborative, proactive, and aligned with the organisation's social mission.
