Job Description
- Brand Activation & Field Marketing: Plan and execute impactful brand activation events, including in-store sampling, pop-ups, event sponsorships, and partnerships.
- Trade & Retail Marketing: Develop and deliver trade marketing initiatives to drive sales through UK retail partners (e.g., Boots, Holland & Barrett, Tesco, specialty retailers). Create compelling POS materials, promotional campaigns, and in-store displays.
- Collaboration with Sales & NPD: Work hand-in-hand with the Sales team to support sell-in and sell-through activities, providing marketing assets and insights. Partner with NPD to ensure successful new product launches, with clear messaging and standout in-store presence.
- Content & Collateral Creation: Oversee the production of marketing materials for a range of channels and activities.
- Market & Consumer Insights: Monitor UK market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences through store visits, event feedback, and retail partner insights. Use findings to refine marketing plans and product positioning.
- Budget Management: Manage the UK marketing budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and strong ROI on all field and trade activities.
- Agency & Supplier Management: Brief and coordinate with UK-based creative agencies, print suppliers, and event partners to deliver high-quality marketing materials and memorable brand experiences.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track and report on the effectiveness of trade promotions, in-store activations, and field campaigns using agreed KPIs (e.g., sales uplift, footfall, sampling conversion rates). Present insights and recommendations to the Commercial Director.
The Successful Applicant
- Track record in successful brand building.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of both online and traditional marketing.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering success bringing the best use of the two marketing spaces together.
- Broad retail marketing background, preferably FMCG, experience of working in a product focused environment, selling into specialist trade an advantage.
