Job Description
The In‑House Property Lawyer will be:
- Investigating and advising internal stakeholders and, where required, third parties on property title, ownership, tenure, boundary responsibilities, covenants and easements.
- Delivering and improving a responsive title queries and property information service, including helpline support.
- Providing practical advice on leasehold and general property matters.
- Identifying and advising on restrictions, disposals and lease terminations.
- Supporting with property transactions, including disposals, wayleaves, staircasing, easements and associated consents.
- Preparing post‑disposal documentation (deeds of covenant, postponements, compliance certificates).
- Supporting the Senior Property Lawyer on portfolio and ad hoc projects.
- Progressing land transfers and adverse possession claims.
The Successful Applicant
The In‑House Property Lawyer should be:
- A solicitor or non‑qualified lawyer with demonstrable property law experience.
- Comfortable advising on freehold, leasehold, title and tenure issues.
- Skilled in legal drafting and interpretation of property documentation.
- Able to manage a varied caseload with attention to detail.
- A clear communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
