The Digital and Technology Group (D&T) focuses on delivering optimized IT infrastructure and secure data use to empower scientists, inspectors, and the organization to provide world-class services that improve patient outcomes. The group played a key role in COVID-19 vaccine approval in 2020 and establishing UK medicines and devices approval systems post-Brexit. The Delivery function drives agile technology-based change, delivering minimum viable products (MVP), continuous improvements, and managing all stages of product development and implementation.
Job Description
You will assist Delivery Managers in transforming how the Agency delivers digital products and services. Supporting a Delivery Manager or working independently on smaller initiatives, you will be responsible for tasks and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementing agile methodologies while supporting or leading multidisciplinary teams and suppliers.
- Providing support to the Delivery team and colleagues with ad-hoc delivery needs.
- Communicating with stakeholders to resolve blockers and highlight dependencies, risks, and issues.
- Supporting or leading Agile ceremonies and coaching sessions.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Desirable: understanding of GOV.UK services, service design methods, and GDS standards.
- Experience facilitating team environments.
- Good knowledge of Agile and Lean tools and techniques, with a willingness to learn and coach others.
- Experience achieving targets, resolving issues, and unblocking problems.
