Job Description
Key responsibilities of the Technical Publications Writer include:
- Draft and edit technical documents, including manuals, guides, and reports.
- Ensure all publications meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and verify information.
- Organise and maintain technical documentation libraries.
- Adapt complex technical information into user-friendly content.
- Review and update existing documents to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Ensure consistency in style, format, and terminology across all publications.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Technical Publications Writer will have:
- Strong written English and the ability to communicate information clearly and accurately.
- Experience in technical writing, technical publications or procedure writing.
- Strong editing skills, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
- Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or similar software (desirable).
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work.
- Confident communicating with colleagues.
