Our client is creating a brand‑new Test Manager role within its Business Applications team. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a centralised testing function from the ground up—shaping strategy, governance, ways of working, and test excellence across a complex application landscape.
This role blends vision and hands‑on delivery. You’ll initially operate as the sole tester/test manager while defining a scalable capability that underpins high‑quality software delivery across multiple platforms and domains. If you enjoy autonomy, building structure where it doesn’t yet exist, and influencing high‑impact change, this role offers a meaningful career step.
What You’ll Do
- Test Strategy & Governance
- Define and own the end‑to‑end test strategy across functional, regression, integration, UAT and non‑functional testing.
- Set frameworks, processes and release criteria for a centralised testing function.
- Delivery & Execution
- Plan and manage testing across teams and workstreams, ensuring on‑time, controlled delivery.
- Operate hands‑on where needed, particularly in the early phases.
- Develop and maintain test cases, scripts and regression packs.
- Lead execution of unit, integration, system and UAT testing.
- Oversee defect management and triage, coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify opportunities for automation and AI‑assisted testing; build business cases that demonstrate ROI.
- Establish meaningful metrics around quality, coverage, progress and defect trends.
- Support regression and upgrade testing for core systems, including eFront and related platforms.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and release planning.
- Team Enablement
- Coach and mentor teams to elevate testing capability.
- Stay ahead of industry testing trends and best practices.
About You
You’ll thrive in this role if you bring both strategic vision and the willingness to get hands‑on. You’re comfortable leading testing across complex systems and are excited by the opportunity to build something impactful from scratch.
Essential Skills
- Strong experience defining and delivering testing strategies, frameworks and processes.
- Hands‑on testing capability.
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, TestRail).

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to AI‑driven testing.
- Understanding of data pipelines, data warehouses and Power BI dashboards.
- Experience with eFront and Dynamics 365.
- Background in financial services or asset management.
Candidates who are motivated by purpose‑driven work and global development impact will be especially suited to this environment.
