As the Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting group‑level financial activities and ensuring the accuracy of financial records across multiple entities. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Coordinating month‑end and year‑end close processes to meet strict deadlines.
- Raising and processing intercompany transactions.
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and substantiations for Controller review.
- Managing general ledger reconciliations and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Overseeing fixed asset accounting.
- Partnering with FP&A, Procurement, and other internal teams to ensure aligned financial reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Supporting tax teams with required statements and reports.
- Collaborating with IT to implement and optimise financial systems and tools.
- Contributing to continuous professional development for yourself and the wider team.
- Carrying out additional duties as assigned by management.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3–5 years’ experience in accounting or financial reporting, ideally within a group environment.
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP, US GAAP and related accounting standards.
- Proficiency in financial systems ideally with experience with Oracle or SAP.
- Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Confident communication and collaboration capabilities.
- Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Working hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00–18:00, with a minimum of 4 days per week required in the office.
