The Accounts Payable Clerk supports the finance team by ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor records. This role is ideal for someone organised, detail oriented, and comfortable working with numbers and administrative tasks.
Key responsibilities- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
- Prepare weekly payment runs (cheques, ACH, wire transfers)
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain up to date vendor records and documentation
- Assist with month end closing tasks related to payables
- Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Support the finance team with general administrative duties
- Previous experience in an accounts payable or general accounting role or administrative position (preferred but not always required)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Strong analytical skills
