Hours: 35 hours per week (24 hours teaching / 11 hours departmental duties)

Salary: 1.0 FTE Lecturer – scale 2 (£35,019 – £49,767)

Pension contribution: 28.68% (FTE)

Location: The Trafford and Stockport College Group – Stockport campus (potential for deployment at other sites if required and mutually agreed)

The role involves working as part of our highly experienced GCSE Mathematics team, delivering high‑quality, learner‑focused education and providing a quality learning experience for our students. Responsibilities include helping to develop the curriculum and implementing effective teaching and learning strategies that enable students to progress and thrive in their maths studies.

About You: We are looking for candidates who are passionate about the specialist subject and enjoy sharing knowledge, skills and experience. Ideal candidates have recent experience teaching GCSE or former secondary mathematics to post‑16 students. A mathematics degree is not essential, but clear evidence of subject specialism in related disciplines is required. Both newly qualified teachers and experienced practitioners are suitable. The role offers access to ongoing internal and external CPD opportunities, including subject‑specific training.
