Hours: 35 hours per week – Permanent, Full‑Time

Salary: £35,019 – £49,767 per annum

Location: Stockport (possible travel to other sites)

Department: Department of ESOL, Lifelong Learning & Skills Development – part of Trafford & Stockport College Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery to 16–19 year olds.
  • Teaching and assessing ESOL and Maths from pre‑entry to Level 2.
  • Use a range of traditional delivery methods and demonstrate strong digital skills to learners.
  • Involve in the whole assessment process from Initial Assessment through the IQA Process.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience delivering ESOL and Functional Skills Maths for 16–18 year olds.
  • Teaching qualification – PGCE (or equivalent) with an ESOL subject specialism, or equivalent.
  • Experience in Further Education setting with vulnerable learners.
  • Thorough understanding of the ESOL Core Curriculum and progression across levels.
  • Strong organisational and collaborative skills; proactive and ambitious.
