The Trafford and Stockport College Group – Altrincham and Stockport campuses (potential for deployment at other sites if required and mutually agreed)
About the role
Working as part of the Adult Maths and English team, you will deliver high‑quality, learner‑focused education and help develop the curriculum and implement teaching and learning strategies. The role requires engagement with learners to help them overcome barriers, make English relevant, practical and enjoyable, and secure positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver GCSE English and functional skills lessons to adult learners.
- Develop curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Assess and support learners to achieve Grade 4 or higher.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote inclusive learning.
Qualifications
- Recent experience of teaching post‑16 GCSE or Secondary GCSE English.
- English degree not essential but evidence of subject specialism required.
- Suitable for Newly Qualified Teachers or experienced practitioners.
