The Trafford and Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an opportunity for an experienced Lecturer for the Pre‐Supported Internship Programmes to join the Progression Curriculum – Choices team to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential for successful futures.
Job Purpose
To plan, deliver and assess high‐quality teaching and learning for learners with SEND enrolled on Pre‐Supported Internship programmes. The post holder will support the development of an inclusive curriculum that prepares learners for supported internships, employment, independent living and positive progression outcomes. The role includes responsibility for coordinating Pre‐Supported Internship provision, programme delivery, working collaboratively with employers, external agencies and monitoring learner progress.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver high‐quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of learners with SEND.
- Plan and implement engaging learning activities that develop employability, vocational, personal and social development.
- Differentiate learning activities to ensure accessibility and challenge for learners.
- Embed English mathematics, digital, communication and employability skills within the curriculum.
- Assess learner progress regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress, achievement, attendance and engagement.
- Coordinate day‐to‐day delivery of the Pre‐Supported Internship programme.
- Support learners in developing the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for successful progression into supported internships and employment.
- Work closely with Job Coach, Careers Advisers, employers and Learning Facilitators to support learner progression.
- Support learners to identify career aspirations and progression opportunities.
- Monitor and review learner targets and outcomes, ensuring progress is regularly evaluated and recorded.
About You
- Conversant and comfortable using computer systems, particularly Microsoft software.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills, respectful and supportive, able to thrive in a busy environment; resilient with a "can‐do" attitude.
- Knowledge of a range of SEND needs (e.g., autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, sensory impairments).
- Committed to person‐centred planning and inclusive practices.
