We are looking for a Business Development Manager with a technical recruitment background. The role involves maintaining and intelligently managing existing clients, with no cold calling required.

The position requires regular travel into London and working from our client's office in Tunbridge Wells. Candidates should be within easy travelling distance of Tunbridge Wells and able to attend meetings in central London.

Our client is a Mechanical and Electrical Building Services construction contractor, working with major developers, construction companies, facilities management companies, and the NHS. They seek a technically-minded relationship manager who can maintain and develop business contacts.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain contact with buyers, contract managers, and engineers, building on successful past project work.
  • Ensure the company is well placed to tender for future contracts.
  • Develop and maintain the existing client network and relationships.
  • Support the director responsible for this work as needed.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Sales experience and knowledge of the construction sector.
  • Technically-minded relationship manager able to understand and discuss project work in mechanical and electrical building services.
  • Ability to develop and maintain lasting business relationships.
  • Able to travel to meetings in central London; comfortable with regular travel to Tunbridge Wells.
  • Knowledge of the Facilities Management market is especially useful.
  • Willingness to consider part-time applicants; possible extension to Project Management.
