The position requires regular travel into London and working from our client's office in Tunbridge Wells. Candidates should be within easy travelling distance of Tunbridge Wells and able to attend meetings in central London.
Our client is a Mechanical and Electrical Building Services construction contractor, working on projects for major developers, construction companies, facilities management companies, and the NHS. They seek a technically-minded relationship manager who can maintain and develop business contacts.
Sales experience, knowledge of the construction sector, and the ability to develop and maintain lasting business relationships are essential. The role will involve maintaining contact with buyers, contract managers, and engineers, building on successful past project work, and ensuring the company is well placed to tender for future contracts.
This is not a cold call or hard sell role; we are looking for someone who can think long-term and maintain the existing network built up over many years. The current director responsible for this work is transitioning to another part of the business.
We need someone intelligent who takes an interest in the work the company does and uses that knowledge effectively. There is a possible opportunity to extend the role into Project Management. Part-time applicants may also be considered. Any knowledge of the Facilities Management market would be especially useful.
