Overview
We are looking for a Commercial Assistant for a Construction company based near Caterham in Surrey. Our client\’s office is in a very pleasant but semi-rural location, so you must drive and have use of a car and live within easy travelling distance.
Responsibilities
- Support the commercial team as they tender and estimate new projects
- Purchase equipment
- Assign contractors
- Generally commercially manage ongoing construction projects
- Selection of suppliers
- Assist in developing project bids
- Buying
- Liaising with site teams and commercial control and management of ongoing project accounts
Qualifications and Experience
- Some relevant and applicable experience to build upon
- Training will be provided, but you must have some relevant and applicable experience within a construction business environment
- Willingness to develop professionally, with potential to progress to a position such as Quantity Surveyor
- Driving license and access to a car, living within easy travelling distance to Caterham, Surrey
- Open to different sectors within construction, provided there is applicable commercial experience
