Overview

We are looking for a Commercial Assistant for a Construction company based near Caterham in Surrey. Our client\’s office is in a very pleasant but semi-rural location, so you must drive and have use of a car and live within easy travelling distance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the commercial team as they tender and estimate new projects
  • Purchase equipment
  • Assign contractors
  • Generally commercially manage ongoing construction projects
  • Selection of suppliers
  • Assist in developing project bids
  • Buying
  • Liaising with site teams and commercial control and management of ongoing project accounts

Qualifications and Experience

  • Some relevant and applicable experience to build upon
  • Training will be provided, but you must have some relevant and applicable experience within a construction business environment
  • Willingness to develop professionally, with potential to progress to a position such as Quantity Surveyor
  • Driving license and access to a car, living within easy travelling distance to Caterham, Surrey
  • Open to different sectors within construction, provided there is applicable commercial experience
