Job Description:

  • Lead the design team to produce innovative and trend-forward womenswear.
  • Oversee the creative direction to ensure consistency with the brand's vision and identity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design strategies with business goals.
  • Manage the development of seasonal collections from concept to final product.
  • Ensure designs meet market demands and customer expectations within the retail industry.
  • Monitor competitor trends and identify new opportunities for the brand.
  • Present design concepts and strategies to key stakeholders for approval.
  • Mentor and develop team members to achieve their full potential.

The Successful Applicant:

  • A strong Womenswear Design Director or Womenswear Head of Design with experience in a premium retailer, heritage brand or lifestyle brand.
  • Someone who can lead a team but also design themselves.
  • Strong experience working closely with buying, merchandising, and brand teams.
  • Comfortable presenting at senior level (including owner/board).
  • Commercially aware - understand what sells, not just what looks good.
  • Deep product knowledge across fabrics, construction, and development.
