Working for a UK leading speciality logistics provider. My client is a well-established transport and logistics business. Operating across the UK, they provide specialist logistics services to their customers, ensuring operational efficiency, health and safety, and long-term commercial partnerships are at the heart of the business culture.
The Operations Director is a critical divisional leadership role within this new structure. The Operations Director takes full and clear ownership of day-to-day physical operations across all UK sites, providing the operational discipline, people leadership, and financial accountability required to deliver consistently excellent results for customers and the business.

- Accountable for safe, compliant and efficient driver performance across all UK operations, protecting people, assets and reputation
- Ensure fleet utilisation and service performance consistently meet agreed KPIs across all UK sites and depots
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience of progressive leadership experience in logistics, transportation or supply chain operations
- Proven track record managing fleet-based transport operations in a multi-site UK environment
- Strong P&L management experience with clear personal accountability for operational financial performance
- Deep knowledge of UK transport regulations, health and safety legislation and compliance best practices
- Demonstrated experience managing driver and depot teams to consistently high safety and performance standards
- Experience leading operational teams through periods of growth, change or transformation
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
