As an Interim CFO, you'll oversee the financial strategy and operations for a PE-backed services company. This temporary role is all about ensuring financial stability and providing leadership during a critical period of change.
Our client is an SME (c£10m turnover) PE-backed services company based in Manchester. The role requires office presence at least three days a week, ideally more.
Description
- Providing a stabilising presence to a business and finance team in a key period of change.
- Quickly gaining control of financial performance of the company, including timely and accurate financial reporting and cashflow management.
- Supporting the board's new strategic direction by formulating an aligned financial plan, using commercial nous to challenge assumptions.
- Supervise and mentor the finance team to maintain operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including auditors and investors.
- If appropriate, providing a strong handover to the new permanent CFO.
Profile
- Ability to quickly build relationships with board-level internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven financial leadership experience gained within environment(s) of change.
- Strategic and commercial skills to enable rigorous appraisal of a new strategic plan.
- Hands-on approach, with the ability to thrive with only a small finance team.
- Ability to thrive in a busy, interim role with clear deliverables.
- Prior experience in an investor-backed business would be very helpful, though not absolutely essential.
