The Head of Risk will oversee risk management strategies and compliance frameworks to ensure the organisation operates securely and efficiently. This role in the transport and distribution industry is key to mitigating risks and supporting long-term operational success.

Key elements of this role include:

  • Own the enterprise risk framework across the group, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and appropriately managed or mitigated at group and entity level.
  • Lead on market risk: commodity exposure, asset and charter risk, foreign exchange, and interest rate risk, including hedging strategy and execution.
  • Manage credit and counterparty risk, particularly in the context of the group's trading and commercial activities.
  • Lead on financial regulatory and compliance risk, monitoring the evolving regulatory environment and its implications for the group's financing and capital structure.
  • Manage liquidity and working capital management risk in conjunction with the group's capital structure strategy.
  • Own the reporting and communication process with existing and prospective investors and joint venture partners providing institutional-grade financial reporting and strategic updates.
  • Oversee a team of senior finance professionals across the group, including finance operations.

A successful Head of Risk should have:
