The Opportunity
As one of five Directors within the function, you will lead and develop a team of specialist credit professionals, ensuring the highest standards of technical assessment, decision-making, and portfolio oversight. This role carries delegated lending discretion and offers significant visibility across senior management, origination teams, product partners, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Infrastructure & Project Finance credit specialists, guiding their technical and professional development.
- Shape and influence structured credit proposals, working closely with asset managers, relationship teams and deal originators.
- Oversee independent credit assessments across new transactions, refinancings, restructurings and annual reviews, ensuring rigorous analysis of financial, technical and market risks.
- Monitor portfolio exposures and proactively identify changes to risk profile, escalating where appropriate.
- Ensure all transactions comply with internal credit policy and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Guide sector research, ensuring credit decisions incorporate robust external insights and scenario/sensitivity analysis.
- Lead periodic sector reviews and contribute to policy development.
- Promote a culture of sound judgement, innovation, and continuous improvement across the team.

- Significant credit risk and sanctioning experience within the infrastructure and project finance sectors, including renewables.
- Strong understanding of structured finance modelling, due diligence processes, and asset-class specifics across UK/US markets.
