Overview
You will lead a London-based ECA Finance Execution & Documentation team in a major international bank, guiding a small group of professionals through complex ECA-backed financings across multiple jurisdictions. You partner with Front Office, Legal, Risk, Operations, external counsel, borrowers, exporters and ECAs to ensure timely execution from mandate to closing. The role combines people leadership with hands-on deal delivery, enabling high-impact, cross-border transactions. This is a strategic, visible role focused on process, risk-aware execution and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a 4-5 person execution and documentation team; manage resource allocation across live deals; drive continuous improvement
- Oversee end-to-end execution of ECA-backed financings from mandate to signing and financial close
- Coordinate internal stakeholders for timely approvals and successful deal delivery; support amendments and post-closing activities
- Lead negotiations of facility agreements; ensure documentation reflects approved credit terms and risk requirements; oversee funding processes
- Act as senior point of contact across Front Office, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations and Agency teams; manage relationships with ECAs, counsel, clients and lenders
Key requirements
- Significant experience in Export Finance, ECA Finance, Structured Finance or Project Finance execution
- Strong documentation and transaction management background
- Previous team management and people leadership experience
- Understanding of syndicated lending and cross-border financing structures
- Experience coordinating diverse stakeholder groups across multiple jurisdictions
