About Our Client
Established by the telecoms industry in June 2022, TOTSCo is an organisation owned by its members to deliver efficient, reliable and compliant fixed voice and broadband switching processes for UK telecom providers for the benefit of residential and business customers.
The Ofcom-mandated One Touch Switch process, which delivers quick, easy and reliable switching for UK residential home broadband and voice consumers, went live across industry on 12 September 2024. It is powered by TOTSCo\’s messaging platform (The TOTSCo Hub) and so far over 1.3m switches have been completed.
Given its unique position in the industry, TOTSCo\’s governance is key to its legitimacy and effective operation. TOTSCo is looking for a Head of Strategy and Policy to drive the development of its governance and strategy.
Job Description
Reporting to the CEO, the job holder will work closely with the CEO, the executive team and the board on a variety of tasks to help TOTSCo achieve maturity in its governance, decision making and strategy and more generally as an organisation.
Tasks Include:
- Forward-planning board agendas in the light of strategic and operational priorities
- Preparing papers for board consideration under direction, including appropriate analysis and recommendations
- Support strategic development and implementation
- Preparing periodic board off-site strategy meetings
- Support board committees (e.g. Remco, ARC) in meeting preparation
- Development, management and review of organisational policies, including development of the staff handbook
- Support the executive in preparation and analysis of consultation exercises with stakeholders
- Ad-hoc operational, strategic and organisational projects

- This role is homeworking and can be performed from anywhere in the UK.
- There will be travel to London one or twice a month and this will be paid for.
