About Our Client: The employer is a large organization within the financial services industry, known for its commitment to innovation and operational excellence. The company values a results‑driven approach and fosters an environment where employees can develop professionally and contribute to impactful initiatives. This position can be based in New York City or San Francisco.

Job Description: The Senior Director, Global Order to Cash owns the end‑to‑end execution of revenue realization, ensuring revenue is accurate, compliant, scalable, and delivered with a strong customer experience. The role spans the full O2C lifecycle across multiple regions and currencies, with direct influence on cash flow, revenue accuracy, and operational performance. This leader manages globally distributed and offshore teams responsible for billing, collections, renewals, and revenue operations. They partner closely with Accounting to support ASC 606 compliance, maintain strong SOX controls, and serve as the primary O2C contact for audits. The role is a strategic partner to Sales and Legal, supporting deal structuring, contract interpretation, and execution of complex commercial terms. Responsibility also includes owning the O2C systems roadmap and driving automation, data integrity, and process standardization across CRM, ERP, and billing platforms. The Senior Director defines and drives key performance metrics while leading continuous improvement and change management initiatives. Success in the role depends on strong cross‑functional influence, executive visibility, and the ability to balance operational stability with ongoing transformation.

The Successful Applicant Requirements & Experience:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Order‑to‑Cash, Revenue Operations, Finance Operations, or related functions within complex, global organizations, preferably supporting subscription‑based or recurring‑revenue business models.
  • Demonstrated end‑to‑end ownership of the full Order‑to‑Cash lifecycle, including order management, billing, collections, renewals, dispute resolution, and cash application.
  • Deep, practical understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606), with proven ability to interpret and apply accounting standards across commercial deal structures, contract terms, billing models, and system execution.
  • Extensive experience operating in SOX‑controlled, audit‑intensive environments, including ownership of key controls, audit engagement, issue remediation, and ongoing control enhancement.
  • Proven change management leader with a sustained track record of driving complex, multi‑year transformation initiatives across processes, systems, and organizational models.
  • Clear ability to act as a driver of change, not merely an implementer‑setting direction, challenging legacy ways of working, and embedding new behaviours and operating models.
  • Demonstrated capability to shift fixed mindsets and overcome resistance to change, including influencing leaders and teams who are deeply invested in existing processes or skeptical of transformation efforts.
  • Strong experience influencing and aligning senior stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Technology, and Product, often without direct authority.
  • Executive presence with the credibility, confidence, and communication skills to engage effectively with senior leadership, articulate complex operational and accounting topics, and drive decision‑making.
  • Experience leading globally distributed and offshore teams, including manager‑of‑managers responsibility, performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Demonstrated success balancing operational excellence and day‑to‑day execution with strategic initiatives such as automation, standardization, and scalability improvements.
  • Strong systems orientation, with experience partnering with Technology on CRM, ERP, billing, and collections platforms, including process design, system enhancements, and data integrity.
  • Highly data‑driven leader with experience defining, tracking, and improving KPIs such as billing accuracy, DSO, renewal performance, forecast accuracy, and customer query resolution.
  • Pragmatic, resilient, and adaptable leadership style, with the ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced, evolving environments characterised by complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities.

What's on Offer: Competitive annual salary ranging from $230,000 to $270,000 plus bonus plus equity. Comprehensive benefits package. Opportunities for professional growth within the financial services industry. Collaborative and supportive company culture in New York.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a critical function in a large organization and make a meaningful impact. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
