Job Description: A leading global law firm is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing the firm's global financial strategy, performance management and operational finance functions. The CFO will act as a key strategic partner to firm leadership, supporting long term growth, profitability and disciplined financial governance across multiple regions. The firm employs several hundred professionals globally and operates across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. This is a highly visible role requiring strong leadership, commercial judgment and experience navigating complex partnership based organizations.
Main duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Lead global financial strategy, planning and performance management for the firm
- Partner with senior leadership to evaluate strategic initiatives, investments and growth opportunities
- Oversee all finance, accounting, billing, collections, treasury and tax functions
- Manage global budgeting, forecasting and long range financial planning processes
- Monitor profitability by practice, sector and geography and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure effective internal controls, risk management and compliance across jurisdictions
- Manage banking relationships, capital structure and liquidity
- Provide clear, timely financial reporting and insights to firm leadership
This role is 4 days/week in office in Midtown. 1 day/week REMOTE.
The Successful Applicant: In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree
- CPA (ideal but not essential)
- 15+ years of relevant finance experience within a global law firm
- Professional services experience with partnership or shareholder models will be considered
- Proven ability to operate in a complex, international environment
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
What's on Offer: Base salary between $700,000 and $800,000. Annual performance related bonus of around $100,000 to $200,000. Generous 401K contribution. Competitive benefits package.
