Job Description
I am looking for a Senior Strategy & Market Intelligence Manager for an energy business. You will:
- Manage the delivery of the strategic materials; stakeholder engagement associated with the delivery of the materials and communication across the business ensuring that staff are aligned and understand the medium‑term priorities for the business.
- Lead the design and implementation of a structured market intelligence approach, integrating internal and external insights to generate actionable strategic recommendations.
- Produce regular strategic insight outputs (e.g., quarterly reports, deep dives, annual assessments) to inform decision‑making and strategic execution.
- Facilitate the development and regular refresh of functional strategies to ensure they are aligned and support the delivery of wider business strategy, preparing supporting materials and briefings for key meetings.
- Provide coaching and guidance to the Strategy Analyst and others as directed.
- Support the Head of Strategy and Director of Strategy on ad hoc strategic initiatives, undertaking analysis, translating analysis and key messages into a clear and compelling narrative, and proactively engaging with key stakeholders to socialise messaging where required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Strategy & Market Intelligence Manager should have:
- Proven experience applying a broad range of strategic and business analysis frameworks, ideally within a regulated business, or for government, or utilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable in delivering reports, briefings, and presentations up to and including Board level as well as owning the creation of materials suitable for external publication.
- Stakeholder management, able to interact with colleagues at all levels, across the organisation to leverage relationships cross-functionally, highly collaborative problem‑solving mindset and ability to engage with external stakeholders.
- Well‑organised - able to manage a number of tasks in parallel, whilst ensuring that these are completed to time and quality. Project management and people management experience desirable.
