About Our Client
We are excited to be recruiting a Managing Director for CO Home Improvements, a division of The Conservatory Outlet Group. The Yorkshire-based home improvement group has been outperforming the market with £62m of annual revenues and employing more than 400 people. The group is celebrating its 20th anniversary with ambitious growth plans launched in a four-year strategy targeting £100 million in sales.
CO Home Improvements aims to almost double its revenues across its six established retail brands, operating in the East Midlands, Northwest and Yorkshire. This is an exciting role for a commercially focussed Managing Director to join one of the UK's leading home improvement specialists who supply and install a wide range of high-quality windows, doors and living spaces.
Job Description
- With the leadership team, execute a strategic plan designed to optimise performance of the home improvement business, demonstrated through positive sales turnover growth and increased profit margin.
- Develop a sales and marketing strategy to enhance already established regions including Yorkshire, Lancashire and the East Midlands.
- Continue to evolve the business.
- Lead, mentor and develop the experienced senior leadership team and future leaders.
- Focus on continuous improvement to maintain and develop consistent product quality and install efficiency.
- Proactively collect and value ideas for product, marketing and sales process improvements and implement according to impact.
- Track KPIs and develop new working practices that improve the quality and efficiency of supporting processes.
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to maximise sales and understand the inner workings of all sides of the group.
- Identify and make possible bolt-on acquisitions.
The Successful Applicant
- A well-rounded, commercially focused Managing Director with experience in a B2C environment within the home improvement sector.
- A strong marketing, brand and PR generalist with a mix of hands-on and strategic experience.
- Proven track record of growing businesses profitably.
- Flexibility of thinking with an inclusive leadership style suitable for a privately owned SME growth environment.
- People-focused approach with experience of installing a "can do-will do" culture.
- Understands and manages risk - commercial, operational, financial, strategic and reputational.
- An open, down-to-earth personality with honesty, integrity and strong business acumen.
