Description
The Operations and Supply Chain Director will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the company's supply chain, from Far Eastern manufacturing through to final customer delivery, ensuring product availability, cost efficiency, and service excellence across the business.
This role owns warehouse operations, driving accuracy, productivity, and continuous improvement across inbound and outbound processes, while overseeing logistics and fulfilment to guarantee on-time, in-full delivery to customers at optimal cost.
The Director leads Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP), aligning demand forecasting, production planning, and inventory strategy with commercial objectives to balance service levels against working capital.
A key focus is the efficient and strategic use of Far Eastern manufacturing partners, optimising lead times, quality, and unit cost through strong supplier relationships and disciplined sourcing practices.
Ultimately, this position ensures the supply chain operates as a competitive advantage - resilient, cost-effective, and scalable to support the company's growth ambitions.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, the role ensures operational excellence, cost efficiency, and service quality, while driving continuous improvement in all core processes.
The job holder is the business lead for Health & Safety, responsible for creating a proactive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and embedding safe working practices across all functions-particularly the warehouse operation.
Profile
Proven senior operations leadership experience within a distribution, warehousing, or supply chain environment.
Strong understanding of warehouse processes, S&OP, demand planning, inventory management, logistics, and fulfilment operations.
Far East supply chain management.
Demonstrated experience leading Health & Safety at an organisational level.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, KPIs, and operational metrics.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management capability.
Experience implementing process improvements (Lean/Kaizen/5S or similar).
