Job Description
Develop & deliver an integrated sales & marketing strategy, driving performance, expanding brand awareness, targeting new markets and identifying new channels.
Drive sales growth across services and products to support the customer proposition, site utilisation and customer experiences.
Engage with customers and potential customers, driving acquisition and retention, maximising spend per member.
To drive business growth and revenue, oversee the development of marketing campaigns and other initiatives to increase brand awareness.
To lead, inspire and motivate a multi-disciplinary team to achieve strategic goals and deliver exceptional measurable results, engendering a culture of professionalism, accountability and continuous improvement.
Drive effective communication and employee engagement across the business as a whole, inspiring trust and commitment from the wider team.
Drive commercial growth through exploration of new products and services.
Maintain strong market and competitor awareness, building on good strategic knowledge of the sector, to influence positioning within it.
Collaborate closely with the Director of Commercial Insight who will provide intelligence to help shape the Marketing strategy.
Engage with the industry, developing and maintaining strong working relationships.
Maintain awareness and knowledge of legal or Industry developments which impact on own area of responsibility, ensuring appropriate information and interpretation is shared with SLT and direct reports.
The Successful Applicant
Have significant experience of driving sales and delivering growth through an integrated marketing strategy for a customer focused service organisation.
Have significant experience in a senior leadership role, managing & coordinating a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a unified strategy.
Have excellent interpersonal skills, coupled with intellect and gravitas to influence all stakeholders.
Be commercially astute and professional, and be able to demonstrate effective business decision making.
Have worked with a multi-million pound marketing budget.
Be able to demonstrate the commercial impact delivered in previous roles.
Be experienced in challenging, coaching and developing people.
Have experience in internal communications and external relations.
Have experience in planning, managing and directing PR and campaigns.
Ideally have experience gained from within the broader leisure and tourism sector.
Have experience of consumer online sales ideally within the tourism and leisure sector.
Be required to deliver against an evolving 5 year business plan.
