Overview
In this role you will provide strategic financial leadership to the Chief Customer Officer and their team, shaping planning, investment decisions, and the transformation programme. You will oversee financial performance, governance, and value-for-money outcomes across customer services, ensuring resources support customer outcomes and long-term sustainability. You’ll lead and develop the finance function within a large, purpose-driven housing organisation. This is a high-impact position that combines commercial discipline with social purpose to improve homes and customer experiences.

- Salary 120,000–126,000 per annum

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership to the Chief Customer Officer and their team, supporting planning, investment decisions and the transformation programme
- Lead financial oversight of the transformation programme, ensuring robust business cases and value-for-money outcomes
- Partner with senior leaders to deliver budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and financial insight for informed decision-making
- Drive financial performance, control and governance, with emphasis on risk management and continuous improvement
- Lead and develop the finance team, fostering high performance and inclusion
Key requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with significant senior finance leadership experience
- Strategic finance business partner able to influence senior stakeholders with meaningful insights
- Strong commercial and analytical capability, including financial modelling and business case development
- Experience leading finance support for large-scale transformation programmes
- Proven people leader with experience building high-performing teams; social housing or regulated large customer-focused organisations is advantageous
