Job Description
- Develop and implement business plans with department and practice leaders
- Monitor financial performance and address risks and opportunities
- Analyze pipeline demand and manage capacity planning for the practice
- Serve as primary operational contact for department leadership
- Drive long-term planning, growth strategy and performance tracking
- Aggregate and analyze hours, rates, revenue, headcount and budgets
- Organize partner meetings, set agendas and drive follow-up actions
- Monitor KPIs including utilization, realization and cash expenditure
- Prepare data, analysis and presentations for leadership and board use
- Support practice management tools and operational initiatives
- Partner with marketing and business development on growth opportunities
- Facilitate leadership succession planning
- Draft internal communications and presentations
- Mentor, supervise and develop direct reports
- Oversee staffing coverage, timekeeping and policy compliance
- Participate in hiring, performance management and employee lifecycle events
The Successful Applicant
A successful candidate should have:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, finance, accounting or a related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in management roles
- Background in law firms, professional services, consulting or financial institutions
- Proven experience supporting senior executives
- Highly strategic, analytical and commercially minded
- Strong communicator with excellent judgment and discretion
- Able to lead through influence and manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable with travel and extended or weekend hours as required
